We just completed another TWI Job Relations workshop with 2 groups of 12 supervisors each at a consumer products company in Vermont. Job Relations training enables participating supervisors to a) build a positive culture in their area (using the JR Foundations), and b) deal with employee problems in a positive way (using the 4-steps in JR).
This company (and several others we worked with during this past year) is using TWI JR to give their supervisors the skills necessary to change a negative organization culture, or a lethargic one, to a positive one. The feedback we receive on conclusion of the JR classes has been outstanding as well. One comment from a union member really emphasized this point when he said, “this JR training will help us build positive relationships across the board and reduce the number of petty grievances from our union members.” Another comment from a different union member was also noteworthy, “I feel that if my boss uses these JR steps with me whenever I screw up, I’ll be treated fairly and will take responsibility for changing my behavior.”
