Quick Change-Over (QCO) is a workshop designed for the explicit purpose of enabling you to achieve < 10 minutes changeovers (single minute) on your process equipment, and ultimately achieve < 100 second changeovers (One-Touch Exchange of Die…OTED) on this equipment. The QCO/SMED principles are easy to learn and can be applied to any process and/or any equipment in your business.
Basic QCO Process:
- Videotape the current process
- List all elements
- Identify Internal and External elements and time for each element
- Separate Internal from External elements
- Move Internal to External
- Improve remaining Internal
- Improve External
- Measure the time it takes to Changeover/Setup your current process/equipment
- Create a QCO Implementation Team and a QCO Plan

- Simulate a current process setup/changeover and measure the time it takes.
- See professionals do the same work in just seconds.
- Learn the 16-step QCO Process
- Understand the difference between internal elements and external elements.
- Apply the 16-step QCO Process to your process and/or your equipment
